FAN USE AND CARE MANUAL

 

Thank you for choosing a PurLine fan. With normal care and maintenance, this device will provide many years of satisfactory performance.

 

When using electrical equipment, basic safety precautions should always be followed, particularly the following:

 

-          The fan should only be used as recommended in this guide: Any other use may prove to be dangerous (fire risk, electrocution etc.)

-          This device is intended for domestic use, it should not be placed in an open window. Do not wet or immerse the device, the cord or the plug in water or any other liquid.

-          Close supervision is necessary when the device is being used near children.

-          Unplug the device when not in use, when moving it from one location to another, prior to the assembly or reassembly of parts and before cleaning.

-          Avoid contact with moving fan parts.

-          Do not use the device in the presence of explosive and/or flammable fumes.

-          Do not place the fan or any other part near a naked flame, heating or cooking appliances.

-          Never use the fan with a damaged cord or plug, after a malfunction or if dropped or damaged in any manner.

-          The use of cable fittings that have not been recommended or sold by the manufacturer may be hazardous.

-          Do not use outdoors.

-          Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or counter or touch hot surfaces.

-          To disconnect, hold the plug and pull it from the wall outlet. DO NOT YANK THE CORD.

-          Always place the device on a dry, rigid and level surface.

-          Never let the device operate without the grilles being in position.

-          A damaged or non-compliant extension cord should not be used.

-          Always plug the device directly into a wall outlet.

-          Always ensure that the current supply is as indicated on the serial plate.

-          Do not insert objects through the protective grilles.

-          In the event of damage to the supply cord or plug, it is the responsibility of the manufacturer, its after-sales service representative or any other authorised person, to replace the damaged part to avoid any potential safety hazards.

 

FAN ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS

 

If your fan has been supplied assembled, you may disregard this section.

 

  1. Remove the components from the box. Separate the front grille from the back grille if they are joined together.
  2. Remove the four screws from the motor, align the rear grille with the four specially designated screw threads on to the motor and screw together.
  3. Position the fan blade on to the specially designated motor shaft, and clamp on to the flat section. It is important to ensure that the fan blades do not rub against the grille.
  4. Mount the front grille on to the rear grille, then fix together with the clips or locking ring.
  5. Remove the four fixing screws from the pedestal, position the spring in the adjustment pole and screw it all to the pedestal.
  6. Unscrew the clamping ring and elongate the top section of the pole. Then fix the motor, grille, fan blade and control panel to the pole and secure with the specially designated screw.

Place the retaining spring in the adjustment pole before it is fixed to the pedestal.

 
 
OPERATION

 

 

CONTROL PANEL
1. Reception of signals transmitted by the remote control.
2. Timer power on warning light

     

3. Power On/Off button

    and fan speed selection: 1 / 2 / 3

 

4. Timer button = choice of

    operating duration:

    1 hour/2 hours/4 hours.

 

   

 

 B / REMOTE CONTROL

 

1. Left button = Power

    On/Off switch

    Right button = fan speed  selection: 1 / 2 / 3.

 

2. Timer button = choice of

operating duration:

    1 hour/2 hours/4 hours.

 
ANGLE ADJUSTMENT

 

To position the airflow towards the top, middle or bottom, simply unscrew the clamping screw and angle the fan head in the desired position, then screw back together.

 

OSCILLATION ADJUSTMENT

 

The oscillation control is located at the top of the fan motor. To turn the oscillation on, press lightly on the control button. To stop the oscillation, gently raise the control button for it to move back into position.

The oscillation will be quicker when the fan is operating at higher speed.

 

FAN STORAGE

It is important to store the fan in a dry and hazard-free location.

 
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE.

CAUTION:  Always switch off and disconnect the device prior to cleaning.

The grille and pedestal can be cleaned easily with a damp cloth and a mild cleaning agent. The motor receives life-time prelubrication in the factory and does not require any additional lubrication. Do not allow water to soak into the fan housing. Do not use any of the following cleaning agents: spirits, thinners, benzene.

If the cord is damaged, request a replacement from the manufacturer, an authorised supplier or any other qualified person to avoid any potential safety hazards.

In the event of a breakdown, please return the fan to the store where it was purchased, presenting your receipt and a copy of this guarantee.
