6-     Turn the device off before unplugging it.  (With dry hands)

7-     Install the device on a flat and stable surface.

8-     Do not pour water onto the device.

9-     Do not place the device close to a source of heat.

10- Before moving the device, turn it off, unplug it and empty the reservoir.

11- Unplug the device if it is not to be used over an extended period of time.

12- Leave 20 cm between the device and furniture or walls surrounding the device.

13- Do not place objects on the air entry and exit grills.

OPERATIONS

The device ventilator circulates humid air through the filter, then through the device condenser.

It is then cooled by a compressor. The water in the air condenses and falls into the reservoir.

The dehumidified air is sent into the room. The dehumidifier can automatically maintain a level of humidity (pre-selected beforehand) in a room.

The dehumidifier may extract up to 60 liters of water per day (in the following conditions: temperature = 30°C, relative humidity = 90%).

The device dust filter also cleans the air.

When turned on, the device produces heat which may increase the room temperature by 1 to 2°C.

YOUR DEHUMIDIFIER MUST BE INSTALLED AS CLOSE AS POSSIBLE TO THE SOURCE OF HUMIDITY

As soon as it is plugged in, your DEHUMIDIFIER starts protecting your environment from the harmful effects of excess humidity.  Excess humidity spreads throughout your home in the same manner as cooking odors. Therefore, the dehumidifier must be placed at the “center” of your premises in order to “attract” the humidity of various rooms. However, if the excess humidity is in a specific area, you may start by placing the device in this area, then move it to a more central location.

When you install your dehumidifier, make sure it is on a flat, stable and rigid surface.  There must be at least 20 cm free space to the back and sides of the device, so that air circulates freely.

The device wheels allow you to move it easily.  However, you must turn it off, unplug it and empty the water recipient before handling.

We do not recommend using an electric extension cord.  Make sure, to the extent you can, that the dehumidifier is not too far from an electrical outlet. However, if you absolutely must use an electric extension, the cord must comply with the standards (at least 1 mm in diameter).

When the dehumidifier is on, it is better to keep the outside doors and windows closed.

AUTOMATIC DEFROSTING

When the room temperature is below 12°C, frost forms on the device condenser. This is normal. The device has an automatic defrost system that turns on automatically. When this occurs, the defrost indicator on the control panel turns on.

HYGROMETRY CONTROL

The dehumidifier continuously controls the room’s humidity level. When the pre-selected level is reached, the device turns off. It turns on again as soon as the level is higher than the pre-selected level.

For safety reasons, the dehumidifier will also turn off when:

  1. The reservoir is full
  2. The reservoir is missing or improperly placed.

RESERVOIR

Remember to empty the reservoir regularly. When the reservoir is full, the device stops working and the full reservoir indicator on the control panel turns on.

Caution: Do not move the device if the reservoir is not in place.

Please be sure that the reservoir is correctly and entirely back in its place. This is important for the unit to be able to start again.

CONTINUOUS DRAINAGE

The device has a continuous drainage option.

To use it:

  1. Remove the cap on the drainage outlet at the back base of the device (11).
  2. Remove the reservoir (6).  Place the cap on the flow tip at the top of the reservoir (8).
  3. Put the reservoir (6) back in place.
  4. Adapt a PVC hose (approximately 3 meters in length and with an internal diameter of 11 mm) to the drainage outlet at the back of the device (11).
  5. The hose must always be placed lower than the device to allow water to evacuate through the force of gravity.

It is normal for the reservoir not to fill up if permanent drainage is installed.

REPLACING AND CLEANING THE FILTER

Remember to regularly check the state of the filter. Clean it as soon as it is dirty, because the dehumidifier may not function properly if the air passage through the filter is obstructed.

  1. Take the filter (4) by the handles and remove it from the device.
  2. Vacuum the filter or pass it under clear, cold water (do not use chemical products to clean the filter).
  3. Put the filter back in its place.

Caution: For optimal use of your dehumidifier, remember to clean the filter every 1 to 2 weeks.

CLEANING THE DEVICE

  1. Turn the device off and unplug it.
  2. Empty the reservoir.
  3. Clean the device with a soft cloth and, if necessary, a non-abrasive cleaning product. Do not use abrasive products (acetone, gasoline …)
  4. Wait at least one hour after cleaning before plugging the device in again.

TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE

If the dehumidifier does not work:

·        Check that the device is properly plugged in.

·        Check whether the water reservoir is full and properly placed in its compartment.

·        Check to see whether the air inlets and outlets are obstructed.

The dehumidifier leaks:

·        Are the holes at the top of the water reservoir blocked?

·        Is the condensation tray at the top of the water reservoir blocked?

·        The drainage cap may not be in place or may be damaged.

·        The device is not on a horizontal surface.

PLEASE NOTE:

·        In a few days, you will see a reduction in condensation. However, if you have a very serious humidity problem, it may take one or two weeks before reaching an acceptable level of humidity.

·        Condensation on a cold surface is normal.

If you have a problem, contact your reseller.
