Thank you for your confidence in purchasing a Pur Line dehumidifier.

Please read this operation manual carefully prior to start the unit and keep this guide in a safe place for future reference.

This dehumidifier must be grounded properly and reliably.

CONSTRUCTION AND WORKING PRINCIPLE

GENERAL

This dehumidifier is computer controled. You only need to specify the required humidity level on the control panel between 75%  RH and 45% RH and the dehumidifier will maintained this % of hygrometry of the air.

This dehumidifier is particularly useful for large areas, industrial sites, warehouses, large basements, archives, laboratories, swimming pools (within allowed distances) etc…

Structure.

Main structure includes : compressor, evaporator, condenser, centrifugal fan, electromagnetic valve, temperature sensor and electronic panel board etc…

Working principle

This dehumidification process is simply done by condensation of the moisture loaded in the air on a large set of cold plates (evaporator) with a compressor and a refrigeration system.

The water resulting from this condensation process is evacuated through a drain.

Defrost.

When the ambient temperature is between 5°C to 15°C and the dehumidifier is in function, the evaporator will be covered with frost. A sensors informs the electronic board and the defrosting process then starts automatically. When the defrost is completed, the dehumidification process resume itself. The unit will work in relatively low ambient temperatures.

Installation

Location :

  1. The unit should be installed stably. There should be one meter of space in front of the inflow and out flow.  There should be no large obstacle around it.

  1. The unit should be located away from a heat source or inflammable gas.

  1. The water coming from the drain must be evacuated with a pan, a pail or directly to an outside drain.

  1.  It is preferable to avoid installing the unit where there is a lot of dust or important pollution

Electrical supply

  1. Follow the instructions of table 1
  2. The power supply must be grounded properly.

Installation :

  1. Skilled professional personnel should perform the maintenance of the unit.
  2. The maximum inclination allowed is 10°

Attention :

This unit is not suitable for marine and kitchen sites. The life span of the unit may be shorten if the function is allowed in a caustic or polluted gas environment

OPERATING METHOD.

 :

Fig.5  PLC100 Control panel

When the supply cord is connected to the power main, the « Power » light (red) comes on. The unit is on mode “Stand-by”

« MANUAL » operation

Press « MANUAL » switch, the delay light (red) is on. After 3 minutes, the run light (green) is on, the compressor and the fan starts working, the unit is in dehumidification mode.

Press « MANUAL » switch again, the run light is off, the unit stops working, the unit is in standby mode.

« Automatic »  operation.

Press « AUTO » switch, the upper and lower limit lights (green) of the humidity are on, and the humidity control indicates the scope of the humidity. The unit is in the auto run mode.

Humidity selection level.

If you select the « AUTO » switch position, the upper and lower limit lights (green) come on and the humidity control indicates the preset humidity range required. Select “UP” or “LOWER” to obtain the required relative humidity rate. At this time, the computer control system will evaluate the ambient humidity and command the unit to start dehumidify if necessary. If ambient humidity is less than required, the system will automatically stop.

Compressor protection.

The « DELAY » light is designed to temporary postpone the compressor start in case of sudden start / stop actions. The starting delay time is of 3 minutes. After 3 minutes of waiting time, the compressor will resume operation.

Automatic defrost

The orange light « DEFROST » will come on when the system is defrosting itself

Attention.

-          The electronic switches on the control panel are of the “key touch” type. Please do not knock hard on these.

-          The humidity sensor is fragile. Please clean it carefully periodically if dusty to ensure more precision. Please correct or replace if defective.

-          When the unit is not in use, please disconnect from the power main.

MAINTENANCE

Switch off the power source before maintenance.

Due to the accumulation of dust, the air filter must be cleaned regularly. (at least one a month). If necessary (according to local conditions) this could be done every week or even daily.

Removal of Front grille

Remove the 2 screws from the upper part of the panel, press the panel downward and pull forward. See Fig.6

Romove the air filter

Draw the iar filter towards the top. See Fig.6.

Clean the air filter

Gently tap the air filter to remove the dust; user a vacuum cleaner or place the filter in warm water (less than 40°C); wash and brush it and rinse.

Attention :

-          The air filter should not be exposed directly to sun or fire to avoid distortions.

-          The air-filter must be in position prior to starting the dehumidifier.

ATTENTION :

We recommend you have your unit maintained periodically by a professional to insure a regular life span.

If unit still does not function, please contact your dealer or repair depot.

When the dehumidifier starts and stops, there is a normal noise due to the refrigerant cycling. It is also normal to feel warm air coming from the exhaust side.

NOTICE.

Please disconnect unit when not in use.

The dehumidifier must be grounded properly.

If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the installer or a qualified party.

Please keep this user guide for future reference.
