CONGRATULATIONS !

Congratulations for choosing a PUR LINE ceramic heater. This user Manual includes important instructions about using and maintaining portable heaters.

 

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

 

Read all instructions before using heater

1.      This heater is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not let bare skin touch hot surfaces. Always use handles when moving this heater. Keep combustible materials, such as furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes and curtains at least 90cm away  from the front of the heater and keep them at least 30cm away from the sides and rear.2. Extreme caution is necessary when  heater is used.

2.      Always unplug heater when not in use.

3.      Do not operate  heater if the cord or plug are damaged, or after the heater malfunctions, has been dropped or damaged in any manner. Return heater to authorized service facility for examination, electrical or mechanical adjustment, or repair.

4.      Do not use outdoors.

5.      This heater is not intended for use in wet or damp locations. Never locate heater where it may fall into a bathtub or other water container.

6.      Do not run cord under carpeting. Do not cover cord with throw rugs, runners, or the like. Arrange cord away from traffic area and where it will not be tripped over.

 

OPERATING INSTRUCTION

Control Panel: (Figure 1)  

 

 

The heater may be operated by the manual controls located on the heater(as shown in FIGURE 1) or by the remote control(as shown in FIGURE 3)

 

1.      Place the heater on a firm, level surface.

2.      When heater is plugged in and turn on the power switch on the rear of the unit base , there will be a “beep” and a red logo power light will come on to indicate that there is power to the unit. The red light will remain lit until the heater is unplugged from the outlet.

3.      POWER button. Press this button to turn the heater on, the unit will display the ROOM temperature and be in the HIGH heat mode.

4.      MODE button. When this button is pressed, the heater will be set into the LOW heat mode.

5.      Press the MODE button once more will set the heater into AUTO heat mode, the LCD display now displays a SET temperature indicator. (SEE : THERMOSTAT INSTRUCTIONS)

6.      Press the MODE button again and the heater will go back to HIGH mode.

7.      TIMER button. The function will work in any mode and the function allows you to set the length of operation from 1 hour to 8 hours. Pressing this button will increase the length of operation by 1 hour each time the button is pressed. Once the timer has been set, the timer will count down the hours in 1 hour increments, showing on the display the remaining operating time, until the heater turn itself off. After the display reflects 8 hours, pressing the TIMER button once more will reset the heater to continuous running.

8.      OSC button. The function will work in any mode. Press this button and the heater will oscillate back and forth. Press it once more and the oscillation will stop.

9.      The heater must be placed on a flat floor or the tip-over switch will shut it off automatically.

10. To disconnect the heater, press the POWER button, and turn off the power switch, then remove plug from outlet.

 

THERMOSTAT INSTRUCTIONS

 

 

1.Pressing the MODE button until the display shows AUTO mode.

2.To adjust SET temperature, press the  to increase the desired temperature and the to decrease the desired temperature.

3.When the air temperature reaches 3 degrees above the SET temperature, the heater will cut off.

4.When the air temperature drops 1 degree below the SET temperature, the unit will come back on.

 

NOTE: It is normal for the heater to cycle ON and OFF as it maintains the SET temperature.

 

REMOTE CONTROL

 

 

  1. The remote control functions are the same as the buttons on the control panel, stated in above instruction. It is powered by two AAA batteries.
  2. There is a cover on the back of the remote control that can be removed for replacement of the batteries as required.
MAINTENANCE

CLEANING :

Clean the body with a soft cloth. Never use alcohol or solvents.

SAFETY FEATURES

  1. A thermal overload protector is built in to prevent overheating.
  2. When an overheat temperature is reached, the heater will be automatically shut off. It can only resume operation when the user resets the unit. (See RESET INSTRUCTIONS)

 

RESET INSTRUCTIONS

 

1.      Unplug the heater and wait 5-10 minutes for the unit to cool down.

2.      After the 5-10 minutes, plug the unit in again and operate normally.

 

ELECTRICAL RATING

This product is rated 8 Amps (2000 Watts) at 220-240 v ~ 50Hz.

Note: There are no consumer serviceable parts inside this heater.

Please do not attempt to open the heater yourself, doing so will void your warranty and could cause damage and personal injury.

MAINTENANCE.

 Warning: ALWAYS SWITCH OFF AND UNPLUG THE CORD BEFORE MOVING OR SEVICING.

DO NOT IMMERSE HEATER IN WATER.

CLEANING: Clean the heater front and rear intake grills with the vacuum brush attachment on your vacuum cleaner. This will remove lint and dirt from the air intake of the heater. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO

TAKE HEATER APART. DO NOT REMOVE GRILL. Clean the heater body with a soft cloth.

CAUTION : do not use gasoline, thinner, harsh cleaners etc., as they will damage the heater. NEVER USE ALCOHOL OR SOLVENTS.

STORAGE.

Store the unit with these instructions in the original carton in a cool and dry place.
